Yvonne Moriel
Saxophone player and composer Yvonne Moriel is one of the most exciting protagonists of the Austrian jazz scene. With her quartet sweetlife, she has been working on an individual sound between dub-infused modern jazz and electronic spheres. The result: complex rhythmical structures meet atmospheric sounds, dub effects, and an energetic stage presence that nonchalantly crosses putative genre boundaries. Winner of the Austrian Jazz Prize for Best Newcomer and part of the renowned New Austrian Sound of Music support programme 2025/26, Yvonne Moriel represents a young, open-minded generation of jazz musicians. Trained in classical music and jazz, she quickly attracted attention with her stylistic versatility, strong musical voice, and interesting personal projects.

CPM-Lab-Abschlusskonzert
Every year, highly talented musicians work on their own music together with the other participants and the instructors in the Composer-Performer Music Lab for six days during the second week of the festival. They all come from different backgrounds and yet have one thing in common: They are all active instrumentalists or performers and produce their own musical work. The Composer-Performer Music Lab is a space of musical experimentation in which the participants move between sound art, improvisation and composition. As in previous years, the highly exciting works will be presented in the first part of the evening concert. And as always, it is impossible to say exactly what the audience can expect at this concert. But they can certainly look forward to musical works of the highest quality.
