Yvonne Moriel
Saxophonistin und Komponistin Yvonne Moriel zählt zu den spannendsten Protagonist:innen der österreichischen Jazzszene. Mit ihrem Quartett sweetlife entwickelt sie seit 2022 einen eigenständigen Sound zwischen modernem Jazz, Dub-Einflüssen und elektronischen Klangräumen. Das Ergebnis: komplexe rhythmische Strukturen treffen auf atmosphärische Sounds, Dub-Effekte und eine energetische Bühnenpräsenz, die nonchalant vermeintliche Genrebegrenzungen zur Seite kehrt. Ausgezeichnet mit dem Austrian Jazz Prize als Best Newcomer und Teil des renommierten New Austrian Sound of Music-Förderprogramms 2025/26, steht Yvonne Moriel für eine junge, offene Generation von Jazzmusiker:innen. Sie ist in Klassik und Jazz ausgebildet, mit ihrer stilistischen Vielseitigkeit, ihrer starken musikalischen Stimme sowie spannenden eigenen Projekten machte sie innerhalb kürzester Zeit auf sich aufmerksam.

CPM-Lab-Abschlusskonzert
Every year, highly talented musicians work on their own music together with the other participants and the instructors in the Composer-Performer Music Lab for six days during the second week of the festival. They all come from different backgrounds and yet have one thing in common: They are all active instrumentalists or performers and produce their own musical work. The Composer-Performer Music Lab is a space of musical experimentation in which the participants move between sound art, improvisation and composition. As in previous years, the highly exciting works will be presented in the first part of the evening concert. And as always, it is impossible to say exactly what the audience can expect at this concert. But they can certainly look forward to musical works of the highest quality.
