Story tellers Helmut Wittmann and Mehmet Dalkilic bring Austrian and Turkish narrative traditions together and engage in a lively bilingual dialogue that can be understood by everyone. Turbulent, humorous, and profound are their stories of wondrous rivers, of Mr Crane and Mrs Heron, an enchanted rock, and the wise jester Nasreddin Hodscha, whose stories change between genius and madness. Helmut Wittmann has been a professional storyteller for over 33 years and has played a key role in the inclusion of storytelling in Austria’s UNESCO cultural heritage. Mehmet Dalkilic is an experienced theatre maker with international festival experience. Together, they build narrative bridges between cultures, humour, and reflection.
