Helmut Wittmann and Mehmet Dalkilic tell imaginative, clever and sometimes outlandish stories. And to top it off, in two languages - Turkish and Austrian. These bilingual tales talk of a donkey that was a man and then wasn't. They lead us to the sources of beauty, wealth and wisdom. They reveal a prince's hairy secret and show us the song of the reeds. Helmut Wittmann lives in the Almtal valley in Upper Austria and has been a storyteller for over 33 years. At his request, UNESCO has included storytelling in Austria in the list of intangible cultural heritage. Mehmet Dalkilic gained stage experience at the “Kleines Theater an der großen Gusen” (Small Theater by the Large Gusen) and completed a three-year training course to become a theater director. With their joint bilingual storytelling program, the two have already performed at festivals in Istanbul, Nuremberg, Mannheim, Vienna, Linz, Graz, Innsbruck and Munich.
