In collaboration between the musician Rojin Sharafi and the two artists Ariathney Coyne and Lynn Mayya, an audiovisual work has been created that addresses the themes of desire and shame by making them tangible musically and visually. The work is presented in the Lunz Hall using the ceiling installation of light strips "Media Lu(n)z". Lying on the floor, visitors are given the impression of a unique light and sound space that completely surrounds and touches them, that appeals to and challenges their senses as well as their emotions.

Lynn Mayya Born in Syria, Lynn Mayya works as an audiovisual and multimedia artist in Linz. She is currently studying time-based and interactive media art at the University of Art and Design Linz. Inspired by avant-garde movements and minimalist aesthetics, her work explores radical social and political issues through immersive and interactive experiences. Her art has been shown at a myriad of events and exhibitions such as the LPM Festival ’23 in Münster, the Ars Electronica Festival ’24 and the exhibitions “Best Off” and “Rundgang” at the University of Art and Design Linz. Through a blending of visual elements and sound, Lynn’s pieces question perceptions and evoke dialogs on prevalent issues.

Ariathney Coyne is a transdisciplinary artist. She moves fluidly between different mediums such as audiovisual art, dance and performance. Trained as a neuroscientist, she now works as a freelance media artist and dancer. Her work is driven by curiosity and a love of experimentation. In her work she combines movement, generative art, sound and language in a unique and exciting way. This results in peculiar and/or humorous insights. Ariathney’s pieces create shared and individual realities simultaneously. She has presented her art at the Landestheater Linz and the Ars Electronica Festival, among others. Ariathney Coyne has already gained recognition far beyond the country’s borders.
